Job Title: AIX Administrator
Description:
The person filling this position will be expected to monitor and administer complex IT systems that include:
- A mix of IBM (including FileNet) and other, supporting applications
- Complex configurations (including HACMP and other high availability configurations)
- Associated backup and storage systems
- Based primarily on the AIX operating system (and sometimes MS Windows)
This person will work with minimal supervision to ensure that system operations and support are properly planned, executed and monitored. He or she will sometimes be supervising the efforts of others and provide internal training related to their expertise above. This person will be responsible for improving the processes and tolls used in system administration
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
-AIX training and experience (expertise specifically in AIX 5.3 P5 hardware is highly desired)
- Experience with system clustering and failover techniques (including HACMP)
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8 years in related work
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Experience:
- Support of the IBM Information Management product suite (primarily Content Manager, Records Manager, and Webspere Portal_FileNet CM and BPM implementations
- Backup and storage systems (eg. SAN, Tivoli Storage Manager, etc)
- Experience working with Government and classified IT systems
